WH Smith
Full airside retail refurbishment and reconfiguration of the WHSmith store at East Midlands Airport. The project involved redeveloping the store layout to improve customer flow and merchandising capacity, while maintaining strict compliance with airport operational and safety requirements.
Works included demolition and reconfiguration of internal partitions, installation of new retail fixtures, updated flooring and wall finishes, upgraded signage, and integration of digital display elements. The redesigned store delivered over 328m² of sales floor area with a further 160m² dedicated to back-of-house operations.
All works were carefully coordinated with airport stakeholders and carried out within restricted airside working conditions to minimise disruption to passenger operations. Additional works were awarded during the programme, including a temporary kiosk installation, an arrivals store refurbishment, and an InMotion store closure.
Plaza Premium Lounge - Edinburgh Airport
Interior upgrade works at the Plaza Premium Lounge within the departure hall at Edinburgh Airport. The project involved reconfiguring the lounge layout through relocation and installation of furniture, alongside removal of existing floor finishes and installation of new flooring throughout selected areas.
Carried out within a live airside environment, the works were delivered safely and seamlessly while maintaining full lounge operations throughout.
Pret A Manger - Birmingham Airport
Airside refurbishment of the Pret A Manger unit at Birmingham Airport, delivering an upgrade aligned with the brand's global design standards. Works included installation of high-quality architectural finishes, bespoke oak veneer wall panelling, fire-rated joinery elements, and updated service counters.
Delivered within the operational constraints of a live airport environment, requiring careful planning, coordination with airport authorities, and strict adherence to safety and access requirements throughout.
YSL - World Duty Free, UK Airports
Multi-site installation programme for Yves Saint Laurent retail furniture across World Duty Free locations at UK airports. The project involved a coordinated rollout of branded display units and fixtures across multiple terminals, ensuring consistency with YSL's luxury retail standards.
Works included installation of bespoke joinery elements, display furniture, lighting integration, and finishing details - all delivered within restricted airport working hours to maintain uninterrupted retail operations.
Frankie & Benny's - Liverpool John Lennon Airport
Principal Contractor for the full shell and core strip-out of the former Frankie & Benny's unit at Liverpool John Lennon Airport. Works involved complete removal of fixtures, fittings, kitchen equipment, flooring, ceilings, partitions, lighting, and mechanical and electrical installations - returning the unit to its base structural condition ready for future redevelopment.
The project required careful coordination with airport operations and stakeholders, including night working aligned with flight schedules, to ensure safe and efficient delivery within a busy airside environment.
